Taylor Swift has done everything from singing in her living room to being a headliner for the highest-grossing concert. Swift has been in the music industry for almost 20 years. Over these 20 years, she has produced ten studio albums. She recently announced her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, at the 2024 Grammys.
Regarding the Grammys, Swift is the first person in history to receive “Album of the Year” 4 times. She has received this award for her albums Fearless (2008), 1989 (2014), Folklore (2020), and Midnights (2022). She has also been nominated for “Song of the Year” more than any other artist in Grammy history. She, unfortunately, has never received an award for this category, but was nominated for her songs “Anti-Hero,” “You Belong With Me,” “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” “Lover,” “Cardigan,” and “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).”
In 2006, Swift released her first studio album, Taylor Swift. One of the most popular songs on this album was released as a single. This song is called “Our Song,” and she wrote it when she was only a freshman in high school! When this song charted, it made her the youngest artist in history to achieve the top spot on the country charts. Also, during her years as a rising artist, she was the youngest person in history to win “Entertainer of the Year” at the CMAs. After Swift released her album Red (Taylor’s Version), she broke Shania Twain’s record for the most weeks at number 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. This is very impressive, considering the fact that this album was a re-release of the album Red from 2012.
She has been rewarded for these amazing achievements throughout her career. She is the highest-paid female musician in the industry with a net worth of over 1 billion dollars. In 2018, her “Reputation Stadium Tour” was the highest-grossing tour in the US. This concert brought in 266.1 million dollars. She recently became a billionaire from her current “Eras Tour.” This tour has brought in 1.04 billion dollars and has sold 4.35 million tickets across 60 tour dates.
Not only has Taylor Swift set new records, but she has also beaten her own. From her song “You’re on Your Own Kid,” she states “I gave my blood, sweat, and tears for this.” Anyone looking in can tell that she has dedicated her whole life to being able to pursue something that she loves. She deserves every penny that she made through her years.
