Mrs. Frahm Krick is teaching for her second year at LHS, but this isn’t her first rodeo. Everyone knows her as the new science teacher but people don’t realize she’s taught at over three schools. Her love for teaching, and spending time with her family is her number one concern. With two different careers under her belt, she is far from boring when it comes to her journey since college.
Biology was a passion that Mrs. Frahm Krick carried with her for as long as she can remember. She decided to go to school and become a cancer researcher before she even considered being a teacher. She was dedicating more than half her days and some nights, trying to find an answer for an incurable disease. She had long days and would test all day in a lab. Cancer research was challenging, but it still had its perks.
“The funnest part was when I had interns and got to educate them,” Mrs. Frahm Krick said.
She enjoyed being a cancer researcher but she knew what she enjoyed most was teaching the interns. She is very smart and isn’t shy when showing off her intelligence to help herself and others. She has always loved to teach and lead from the very start. She loved to teach interns all day, and still enjoys teaching now that she’s a high school science teacher. She even has a husband and three kids that she is gladly responsible for teaching as well.
“Once you have children, you can’t have 16 hour days… we do lots of bowling… archery… shooting sports, 4H,” said Frahm Krick.
Her old job was very time consuming and she valued her kids so much she decided to quit her job as a cancer researcher because she knew she made a commitment to them and needed to be around more often.
She tries her best to do what she loves, like her hobbies and to always support her family even with overwhelming school work and grading. She is very good at bowling and wins many prizes from tournaments she enters herself in. She is always looking to take her game to the next level. Not only does she look for activities to do for her own enjoyment, but she gets her kids involved as well. They do 4H and show all kinds of animals like the chickens they chase around in their own backyard. A day off is one of the last things on her to-do list.
Mrs. Frahm Krick is a proud mother, teacher, and never fails to impress.
