From sporting events to the lunch room, the presence of Louisvilleās new activities director is always noticeable. Kaleb Walker joined the staff of Louisville Public Schools for the 2023-2024 school year as the athletic director and assistant principal. Mr. Walker was previously an English teacher, head coach for many sports, Dean of Students, and activities director at Nebraska City.
He has already made significant changes throughout the school and has big goals for the future.
āThe overall theme that I want to portray to our community is providing a good experience for our students,ā Walker said.
Mr. Walkerās biggest focus is creating a positive environment for the students and staff at Louisville. There are many steps he plans on taking to improve the morale of the district. Providing passes for families to get into the games for less money is one action he has taken. Increasing social media presence is another.
āI know kids and families care about it, but itās also a really good way to get information to our community,ā said Walker.
His constant interaction at sporting events and school activities has helped him make a good impression on the school. His positive attitude and growth mindset always help motivate athletes.
Walker said, āAs someone new in a district, itās just important to meet a lot of people and make connections with those people.ā
Mr. Walker has already made big impacts on Louisville Public Schools, and plans to keep progressing. To further improve the culture of Louisville, Mr. Walker provides a positive outlook for the students.
